Angelica Maria Vale Hartman, known professionally as Angelica Vale, is a Mexican-American actress, singer impersonator and radio host who is popularly referred to as the daughter of Angelica Maria La Novia de Mexico and also as the daughter of comedian Raul Vale. She was recognized in 1973 for the creation of her own La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) musical genre, which reached the top of charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin singer to sell two million copies in the United States. She was introduced to Venezuelan comedian/singer Raul Vale in 1974. They married on April 25, 1975. This was the first marriage that was broadcast across Mexico.
